Throughout the 2017 season I will be running a Dirt Late Model Fantasy game. The format will be a very simple one. For each of the races listed below, contestants will pick two drivers. Those drivers will earn points for the contestant at the finish of the chosen race. Contestants may exchange drivers from race to race or may stick with the same drivers for as long as they wish.
To participate, you must follow @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter or belong to Richard Allen's 'Dirt Racing' page on Facebook. Instructions regarding deadlines for entry submissions will be posted prior to each of the appointed races.
There will be weekly prizes as well as prizes awarded at the end of the contest.
Since prizes will be awarded on a race-by-race basis, it will be in the contestant's best interest to keep his/her team up-to-date.
Here are the rules:
1. Each contestant will choose two drivers per race.
2. Driver selections must be emailed to RWRfantasy@aol.com by the designated time prior to each race. Entries may also be submitted on Twitter if they are addressed to me and contain the hashtag #RWRfantasy on the Facebook 'DirtRacing' page.Late entries will not be accepted.
3. Both of the selected drivers will score points for the contestant so it is important to choose drivers who will actually be racing in that particular event.
4. Should a driver be disqualified, no points will be awarded for his/her finishing position.
5. Contestants must follow @RichardAllenIDR on Twitter OR be a member of Richard Allen's 'Dirt Racing' group on Facebook to play.
6. Only one entry per person.
7. Emailed submissions must include either the contestant's Twitter name or his/her name used on Facebook within the 'Dirt Racing' group.
8. Should a race be postponed, entries may have to be made over again depending on the new race date. Should a race be canceled, the event will not count toward the final standings and no weekly prize will be awarded.
9. There will be one overall winner for each race. Weekly winners will receive a $10 gift card.
10. The overall winner at the end of the season will receive a $50 gift card with 2nd place receiving a $25 gift card and third place receiving a $10 gift card.
11. In the event of a tie in either the weekly or final standings, the prize winner will be determined by a blind draw conducted by the administrator. Winners will be determined by Tuesday following the given race.
The scoring system will work as described below:
1st = 20 points
2nd = 15 points
3rd = 10 points
4th = 8 points
5th = 5 points
6th-10th = 3 points
Making the feature but finishing outside the top-10 = 1 point
Failing to make the feature or being disqualified = 0 points
